Ride Day Safety Rules

Picture
  • All riders must sign the Accident Waiver and Release of Liability at Rider Check-In, before starting the ride.
  • All riders under 18 years of age must have the Accident Waiver and Release of Liability signed by and accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • CPSC/Snell approved helmets must be worn at all times during the ride
  • Bicyclists must obey all California Vehicle Code Laws including all stop signs and traffic signals.  Law Enforcement can and will ticket illegal/unsafe behavior.
  • The routes will NOT be closed to traffic.
  • Riders must make certain that their bicycles are in good operating condition.
  • Riders must carry a water bottle.
  • Riders must present their ID at Rider Check-In.
  • Riders may not wear headphones or talk in a cell phone while riding.
  • Use caution when passing another rider.  Pass on the left and call out “On your left”.
  • Ride safely and in control. Ride in single file whenever possible. (And California law requires riding single file on a busy or narrow street.)  Your safety, and the impact of your actions on the safety of others, are your responsibility. Remember, this is a ride, not a race.  Our primary goals is to provide a fund and safe ride, but ultimately your safety is dependent on your behavior.
